Masset, Inc. (“Masset,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”). This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from any individual or entity, including but not limited to Clients, Authorized Users, and end users (“you”), who access or uses GetMasset.com (www.getmasset.com), including all of its related applications, dashboards, or platforms (“Services”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and procedures this Privacy Policy describes. Beyond the Privacy Policy, your use of our Services is also subject to our Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use Policy. Additionally, by using the YouTube API Services, you agree to be bond by the YouTube Terms of Services (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). All capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the same meaning given in our Terms of Service.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Services. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy below). Your continued use of the Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates. If you do not provide your information when requested, you may not be able to use our Services if that information is necessary to provide you with our Services or if we are legally required to collect it.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect:

  • Through the Services.
  • Through mobile and desktop applications you download from the Services, which provide dedicated non-browser-based interaction between you and the Services.
  • When you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by us or any third party.

Children Under the Age of 13

Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information through or on the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not:

  • Use or provide any information through or on the Services, or through any of its features;
  • Register on to use the Services;
  • Make any purchases through the Services;
  • Use any of the interactive or public comment features of the Services; or
  • Provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use.

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

With the exception of Google data, we collect several types of information from and about users of our Services, including information:

  • Personal information, such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, social security number or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline (“personal information”);
  • That is about you but individually does not identify you;
  • Information necessary to make financial transactions, such as your billing address, other addresses related to you, and credit card or other payment information; and/or
  • About your internet connection, the equipment you use to access the Services, and usage details.

If you do not want us to have access to certain information, you should not share it.

We collect this information:

  •  Directly from you when you provide it to us.
  • Automatically as you use the Services. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies.
  • From third parties, for example, our business partners or publicly available sources.

Information You Provide to Us

With the exception of Google data, the information we collect on or through our Services may include:

  •  Information that you provide by filling in forms through our Services. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Services, subscribing to our Services, posting material, or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us, and when you report a problem with our Services. If you sign up for an account, register to use our Services, purchase our products, or sign up to receive information about our Services, we may ask you for your first and last name, e-mail address, phone number, physical address, P.O. Box or other postal address, login information, and any other information we may collect.
  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.
  • Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our Services and of the fulfillment of your orders. You may be required to provide financial information before placing an order through our Services. When you add billing information or a credit card number to your account or make a purchase, we may use a third-party service provider to collect and store your payment information.
  • Your search queries on the Services.
  • Any images that you submit to the Services.

You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on public areas of the Services, or transmitted to other users of the Services or third parties (collectively, “User Contributions”). Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. We cannot always control the actions of other users of the Services or third parties with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies

As you navigate through and interact with the Services, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

  • Details of your visits to the Services, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Services.
  • Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.

We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking).

Certain features of our Services may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on our Services. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies. We may always not collect personal information automatically, but we may tie this information to personal information about you that we collect from other sources or you provide to us.

Third-Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

With the exception of YouTube API Services, some content or applications, including advertisements, on the Services are served by third parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our Services. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.  

We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. How We Use Your Information

With the exception of Google data, we use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:

  • To present our Services and related content to you.
  • To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.
  • To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
  • To provide you with notices about your account or subscription, including expiration and renewal notices.
  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.
  • To notify you about changes to our Services or any products or services we offer or provide though it.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features on the Services.
  • To personalize and improve your experience on our Services, such as presenting tailored content, speeding up your search, recognizing when you return to the Services, and storing information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Services according to your individual interests.
  • For marketing purposes, such as customizing and communicating informational or product offerings, promotions, and advertising materials that may be useful, relevant, valuable, or otherwise of interest to you. We may also use to estimate our audience size and usage patterns. We may use the information we have collected from you to enable us to display advertisements to our advertisers’ target audiences. Even though we do not disclose your personal information for these purposes without your consent, if you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement, the advertiser may assume that you meet its target criteria.
  • To send you text messages and push notifications.
  • To market additional or new products or services to you.
  • To find and prevent fraud and respond to trust and safety issues that may arise.
  • To de-identify and aggregate information collected through the Services and use it for any lawful purpose.
  • To provide, maintain, improve, and enhance our Services.
  • To facilitate transactions and payments.
  • In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
  • For compliance purposes, including enforcing out Terms of Service or other legal rights, or as may be required by applicable laws and regulations or as requested by any judicial process or governmental agency.
  • For any other purpose with your consent.

We may also maintain the information we collect or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways or receive from third parties.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose of the collection unless we are required by law to keep it longer.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, for any business purpose.  With the exception of Google data, we may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Policy:

  • To our subsidiaries, affiliates, and partners for any of the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
  • To contractors, vendors, service providers, and other third parties retained in connection with the provision of our Services or who we use to support our business.
  • If you connect a third-party application to our Services, we may share information with that third party.
  • We work with third party advertising partners to show you ads that we think may be of interest to you. These advertising partners may set and access their own cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies on our Services and they may otherwise collect or have access to information about you which they may collect over time and across different online services.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us about our Service users is among the assets transferred.

  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
  • With your consent. We may also disclose your personal information:
  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
  • To enforce or apply our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and other agreements, including, but not limited to, for billing and collection purposes.
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Masset, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:  

  • Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this Services may then be inaccessible or not function properly.
  • Disclosure of Your Information for Third-Party Advertising. If you do not want us to share your personal information with unaffiliated or non-agent third parties for promotional purposes, you can opt-out sending us an email stating your request to support@getmasset.com.
  • Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not wish to have your contact information used by us to promote our own or third parties’ products or services, you opt-out sending us an email stating your request to support@getmasset.com. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions. Even if you opt-out of receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us. For example, if we have sent you a promotional email, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions, but this opt-out will not apply to information provided to Masset as a result of a product purchase, warranty registration, product service experience or other transactions.
  • Targeted Advertising. If you do not want us to use information that we collect or that you provide to us to deliver advertisements according to our advertisers’ target-audience preferences, you can opt-out by sending us an email stating your request to support@getmasset.com.

We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) on the NAI’s website.

Google Data and YouTube API Services

We use YouTube API Services to process Your Google data, so that users may easily search for Your videos. Our Services do not import, upload, or store your videos. Instead, our Services utilizes the metadata (i.e., name, title, and thumbnail) and the Google provided transcription and/or captions of the video. Users can search our System for videos based on the information captured in the metadata, transcript, and caption, in addition to the video’s description and title. Use of the YouTube API Services is disabled by default and must be opted-in.

We do not use Your Google data or YouTube data for any of the following:

  • Targeted advertising
  • Selling to data brokers
  • Providing to information resellers
  • Determining credit-worthiness
  • Lending purposes
  • User advertisements
  • Personalized advertisements
  • Retargeted advertisements
  • Interest-based advertisements
  • Creating databases
  • Training AI models

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Services and visiting your account profile page.

You may also send us an email at support@getmasset.com to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. If you have a user account with us, we cannot delete all of your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

If you delete your User Contributions from the Services, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Services users. Proper access and use of information provided on the Services, including User Contributions, is governed by our Terms of Service.

Your State Privacy Rights

State consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding our use of their personal information.

Data Security

Masset values the security of your information. We have implemented reasonable measures designed to protect your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.  

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the Services like message boards. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the Services.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. As our Services are hosted electronically, we can make no guarantees as to the security or privacy of your information. Although we do exercise reasonable precautions to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through the Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Services.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Privacy Policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify you by email to the primary email address specified in your account and/or through a notice on the Services home page.
